One plus

A cafe break is essential during a ride, but when your beloved bike is also included, choosing a cafe becomes much more difficult.
You can park your bike safely and most importantly, it's comfortable. With delicious food and drinks, it's sure to be a special day...
We would like to introduce you to some cyclist-friendly cafes recommended by our staff.
This time we're visiting "1+2" in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture.
"1+2" moved from Johnson Town to Hanno seven years ago.
The store's name was chosen because it is easy to understand when you see it and easy to remember.
The shop was produced by the owner's wife and created by the owner, Mr. Takada.
When the store was in Johnson Town, there was a bicycle shop near the store and an increasing number of cyclists visited on weekends, which is what prompted them to install a bicycle rack.
The floor of the shop is made of warm Japanese cedar, giving it a relaxing, warm feeling.
However, since the cleat is easily scratched, they ask that customers wearing binding shoes wear cleat covers when entering the store.
*If you forget your cleat covers, please ask the staff at the store. They also lend out slippers and other items.
The owner, Mr. Takada, also bought a bicycle when he was in Johnson Town and enjoys cycling at his leisure. Mr. Takei, the pastry chef who makes the delicious desserts, is also a cyclist. The shop has a very cyclist-friendly atmosphere.
The popular menu item is omurice.
"Shrimp and Tomato Cream Omelette Rice" was created in response to customer feedback that they wanted to eat the pasta sauce they used during their time at Johnson Town over rice!
The tomato cream sauce and shrimp go perfectly together.
The dessert menu changes depending on the season.
This time I had the "Naples Style Rare Cream Cheesecake".
The combination of rich cheese, nuts and dried fruit was exquisite and delicious.
There is also an extensive wine and dinner menu.
The owner, Takada, originally worked in artist management.
At some point,
"You can't rely on other people's talents..."
"What I can do myself..."
This idea led him to start cooking.
The rented house in Johnson Town, which was originally a studio, was fitted with running water and a kitchen, and when the building was rebuilt, they decided to set up shop in Hanno.
I want the people I love and the people who want to come to come...
"1+2" reflects Takada's thoughts.
"Please drive safely," say the store owners, Mr. Takada (right) and Mr. Takei (left).
Why not visit 1+2 where you can enjoy warm food and hospitality?
