Hill Pines Espresso
Cafe breaks are essential during your ride
When your beloved car is also involved, choosing a shop becomes much more difficult.
You can park your bike safely and it's comfortable.
It's sure to be a special day with delicious food and drinks...
We would like to introduce you to some cyclist-friendly cafes recommended by our staff.
This time, we visited "HILL PINE'S ESPRESSO" in Hon-Kawagoe.
Located on Kawagoe Taisho Roman Yume Dori, this cafe is easily accessible, just an 8-minute walk from Kawagoeshi Station or a 10-minute walk from Hon-Kawagoe Station, and is fully equipped with bicycle racks, making it a cyclist-friendly establishment.
The menu is filled with enticing options, from cold drinks topped with ice cream to hot drinks perfect for chilly days.
There are spaces both inside and outside the store where you can relax and enjoy your purchased drinks.
Here's what I got this time
"Long Affogato Ice Latte" and vanilla ice cream
"Espresso Tonic"
The "Long Affogato Iced Latte" with vanilla ice cream was a delicious iced latte with the richness and bitterness of the espresso perfectly matched with the vanilla ice cream, making it a delicious drink that you can gulp down in one gulp.
The "Espresso Tonic" was a refreshing drink perfect for a hot day, combining the carbonation of the tonic water with the bitterness of the espresso.
The store also has a sales corner where you can purchase coffee beans, drip bags, cold brew bags, etc.
The owner, Mr. Matsuoka
HILL PINE'S ESPRESSO opens every morning at 7:30.
The owner, Mr. Matsuoka's, desire to be able to drink a cafe latte early in the morning is reflected in the shop's opening hours, which are 7:30 a.m. every morning.
Although he originally worked as a messenger and was familiar with bicycles, he says he did not start the shop for cyclists.
After installing a bicycle rack that was donated by an acquaintance who runs a cowshed, the spot has become a popular place for cyclists to relax.
Matsuoka tries out the riding spots that are recommended to him one after another by his customers.
The more he rode the more he was drawn to the charm of cycling, and now he even thinks hill climbing is fun.
The owner had a wonderful attitude of enjoying cycling.
HILL PINE'S ESPRESSO is run by the owner, Mr. Matsuoka, a cyclist.
Why not take the time to enjoy the townscape of Kawagoe while relaxing on your bike and enjoying a cup of coffee?
Please check it.
